This site is dedicated to real-world action on ending the practice of ending live shows and festivals after they've been enjoyed by audiences.
You can also still take action in other ways!
An increasing number of live shows and festivals are designed to be one-time experiences, becoming completely unrepeatable once they end. The legality of this practice is untested worldwide, and many governments do not have clear laws regarding these actions. It is our goal to have authorities examine this behavior and hopefully end it, as it is an assault on both consumer rights and the preservation of cultural experiences. We are pursuing this in two ways:
The comedy tour "The Last Laugh," featuring top comedians, was recently ended after its final show despite having a huge fan base. Due to the tour's popularity and strong consumer interest, this represents one of the best opportunities to hold organizers accountable for ending it. If we are successful in pressing charges, this can have a ripple effect on the live entertainment industry to prevent more shows and festivals from ending.
Official government petitions have been introduced to prohibit the practice of intentionally ending live shows and festivals. Currently, petitions for the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia have been launched and will soon be open for signing. Plans are also underway for the European Union, but will unfortunately be delayed due to processing times. Further government petitions may be started later with enough assistance.
If you are able, please engage in assisting in this effort, or encourage others who can. The FAQ can also be viewed for more information.
